App to help organize screenshots for demos

Does anyone here ever use screenshots to supplement an interactive product demo?

The use case for our team is sometimes a prospect will ask a question about something specific and it's much easier to 'show' versus 'tell'. However, sometimes it can take a ton of clicks to get to the particular menu/screen so you can get the 80/20 just by showing them a screenshot.

Does anyone else do this? If so, how do you organize all your various screenshots so that you can pull them up on the fly during a call?

You want a place to put screenshots that keeps them handy and organized for demo purposes? Yes, there's an app for that. Say it with me: PowerPoint

I was gonna say its called powerpoint, google slides, or keynote. There's quite a few options. The coolest part about these apps is you can save them to your computer and pull them up super easy during a demo and if having one big slideshows of screenshots is too much, you can even create a folder with smaller 2 slide powerpoints in them and actually title it with the specific question theyre asking so you know which file to click on. Everyone should check it out, it just came out, hottest software in tech rn.

I've done that in the past too (google slides, but same thing).

It's just harder to index and it would be cool if an extension or app could know what module I was on and screenshots that would correspond to that. Probably a pipe dream though lol

I mean you could keep them in a folder and name them appropriately so you can grab them at will, I donโ€™t think this would take too long?

That's probably sufficient.

Truthfully, I'm doing some market research to see if it's worth building (I'm an AE but w/ tech background).

Sounds like not enough of a pain point for people potentially

Got a dev dept? Have them build you a demo site where these things can live forever.

Love having a good set up done by pros - but yeah.

Yeah, that's what I do mostly, though sometimes I have supplemental slides (in case things get bogged down or go sideways OR there's a permission I don't have that I want to show). Also my SCs will have multiple sessions open to show different experiences based on user permission/type. The trick is to have as many of them queued up as possible. Inevitably there's that ONE thing that they want to see that you didn't see coming, but practice can make you smooth.

Maybe record the demo via Loom and send it to them

Yes, but that doesn't help me on the fly in a demo. I also pull up loom videos sometimes, but I want to have a way to organize all my looms or screenshots so that I can pull it up and discuss it live with the prospect.

No rocket science for us. We either show them live or record a video and share. If these are some of the common asks, you can record small videos and put them in a folder that you can play live

We used to use screenshots and our product owners have shifted to creating Figma prototypes. Maybe ask your product team if they have a similar platform they use for wireframing?

But yes - PPT / Slides etc. Become a master of naming your files with a systematic hierarchy so you can easily find them later on.

Perfect - sometimes the product team doesn't realize they could be also useful for your commercial needs.
