Are there any Pre Sales Engineers Positions out there?

I am genuinely excited about exploring opportunities for a pre-sales engineer position, leveraging my extensive experience in the mortgage industry. Throughout my career, I have been deeply immersed in front-facing sales, and my passion for technology has allowed me to excel in understanding and navigating state requirements, program guidelines, and complex mortgage laws.

I believe my unique combination of sales acumen and technical expertise can bring significant value to a team that values innovation and a deep understanding of the mortgage landscape. My proficiency in communicating complex concepts to clients and stakeholders has been instrumental in building lasting relationships and fostering trust.

As I seek new challenges, I am eager to find a forward-thinking company that appreciates the synergy between my sales background and technical proficiency. I am confident that my ability to effectively bridge the gap between sales and technical aspects can drive substantial growth and success for the organization.

I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to a team that recognizes the importance of staying ahead of the curve in a dynamic industry. My commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends will ensure that I remain a valuable asset to any organization I join.

I genuinely believe that my diverse experience and passion for both sales and technology make me a strong candidate for the pre-sales engineer role. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute my expertise and dedication to a team that values innovation, customer-centricity, and excellence in all aspects of their business.

This kind of feels written by ChatGPT, but ignoring that - yes. There are lots of those positions available, go forth and apply.

Check out PreSales Collective, great Slack for you to join.

I did use a little chatGBT assistance for this post #shamelessplug 😅 thought I might check out my first post by using it!

But all in all I would love to join that collective group on Slack! Thank you!

What is your technical expertise?

As mentioned I am a Mortgage professional so the skill set needed to do my job are very technical and front facing knowing guidelines, regulations and having a strong and detailed knowledge of financial placement in 20+ states. I’ve found myself trying to use what most in the tech industry as product knowledge differently than what it is in the mortgage industry but when you are explaining or selling anything you must understand the product along with all the changes that come with it making everything outcome based essentially for every level client. Be able to demo the mortgage process and convey the intricacies of that would be similar to doing a demo for a client for a technological component. I also have a technical troubleshooting and production management from previous position that I held along with leadership based trainings and experiences.

I'd start by looking at the tech you are currently using in your role and see what openings those companies have.

Please stop using ChatGPT to write. It spits out garbage and makes you look dumb.
Explaining mortgages ≠ technical experience.
Not trying to diminish that experience, but it's not the same as a technical skill.

Yeah, there are some here and there. I’ve seen pre-sales go into account management as well.

If you are a President at your current org, would an SE role be a significant step backwards?

The title just give a bit of tenure and experience I handle the business in a strong capacity but still front facing sales role.

I think maybe a few courses on more technical topics won't do any harm. If you want to be an SE, be an SE. Good luck
