A little redundancy is good for my 90 year old brain.

We are using Jabra Evolve 75 at my firm. Really good and have all the features like noise canceling, extremely good sound ect. I’m mainly using Apple AirPods cus’ I’m getting a headache from time to time using the Jabra’s. They are tight to the head but overall really, really good. Using AirPods for cold calling, Jabra’s for meetings.

MoonDog69 I am an audiophile and have embarked on this journey for a very long time. I have tried it all in the search for the best headphone for calls and everything else. I have high expectations for audio and mic quality, so my journey got me testing and buying some pieces of hardware that I regret, so let me save you the pain. The perfect headphones do not exist, either you have great-sounding cans or a great-sounding mic. If you want both, you must get cool-sounding headphones (Philips SHP9500, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, Sony or HiFi Man) and attach a mic like this:  https://antlionaudio.com/products/modmic-usb. This combo works well but looks massive on your head, so might only be useful for calls without video, music, and gaming.
For everything else get a headset like Aftershockz OpenComm (top tier best-looking headset with sick mic in the market approved by me), Jabra, or Poly. Don't do pods unless you work from home with quiet surroundings, go for boom mics.
Tl;Dr:
-- No such thing as headphones that have a great mic for calls and good sound quality, let's revisit this by 2025
-- Don't mute, get a propper headset for calls with boom mic and propper headphones for critical listening of music with all colors
-- Notable mentions: Bose 700 do have the best mic on a wireless headset, with some compromises
-- Modmic + Headphones works very well but looks dumb
-- Get a headset with a boom mic, and if you care about music quality, also get a pair of nice-sounding headphones

A lot of people are going to day air pods. But a few of the peeps at work have them and they might be great for them, but they sound bad on my end sometimes. My boss sounds like he’s underwater half the time and the other rep on my team sounds like he’s not speaking into the microphone. I like my plantronics noise cancelling - can play music connect to multiple devices and other peeps at work who use them sound crystal clear on my side. But yah, it’s a head set. Wireless mind you but not as chic looking as others.

Depends on what you are looking for in headphones. I rock my airpods daily for most calls, but everyone and a while when they start to hurt my ears I break out the beats studio's

I've got Sennheiser ones that plug into my USB and they're GREAT. I don't like wireless for prospecting/meetings - can often be unreliable.

Seen so many people with AirPods on the other end have issues.
