Someone is a little salty
If you are calling to sell something it’s definitely going to be a sales call and there is no harm in accepting the truth. What do you answer when the prospect answers you call? Is it the product or the outcome?
@maxmartin you are definitely spamming questions. While they are ok questions, if you have honest questions you probably need to use the search bar to help answer them.

No sir,mam I'm just new to this community as I've just joined not more than one month ago, and I was on my way to thank you for sharing the info for the search bar I've just recognized until you referred to me spamming which is again not correct.
All what happened was that I'm just using my regular browser and not my IPHONE and I didn't know about the search bar option only until now at the very top right of the page and was hard to notice for me.

Look, be honest with them. If you say no and it turns into a sales call you piss off a prospect and it will lead to only negative things down the road. Being professional is the most important thing here.
I would admit it’s a sales call, not sure how anyone can say no then proceed to talk about a product
Always confirm you’re in sales then pivot. Sound like a used car salesman if you don’t
normally i try to do a little out loud laugh, and say something like
" oh man why do you say that??"
(they respond)
"well im not trying to sell you anything today, but maybe tomorrow i will. call i tell you why im calling real quick and see if it makes sense to just hand up or keep talking?"
sometimes it gets them off their attack and sometimes not.

Be direct about why you're calling, and have a compelling, relevant opening statement for why they might want to speak with you.
Never deny it's a sales call if it really is...at some point it will be obvious it's a sales call and you will have zero credibility with the prospect.
