I started as a CSM about 6 months ago and yesterday I had a bragworthy moment I'd like to share:
I was assigned a new account with an exec sponsor who used our platform at a previous company. Met them for the first time a week or so ago. They scheduled a call with us for an integration convo with our head of product.
We jump on and come to find out that the integration they want requires another piece of the puzzle they never purchased originally. Made us all feel like an ass saying they paid for this and that, and were led to believe blah blah. So i found their contract, apologized for miscommunication, clarified what they did actually purchase, and managed to pivot to a demo of the integration they had paid for. (which was my first time demo-ing live)
This helped calm dude down and they liked what they saw... apparently the CEO of my company was with the product manager off-camera and witnessed the whole thing. Got commended on the pivot and the last minute demo, and a "this is why we hired you" praise.
Anyway, that's my ted-talk.
