I hold my own.ย  It's very small this year, and we had none last year.

We had ours on Friday. People came from 3 states. Rented a whole event venue with premium open bar, dinner, djs, lighted dance floor, party favors, photo boothsโ€ฆ and apparently it was quite tame for our events.ย 

You know, insurance.ย 

Also, construction so our clients donโ€™t do WFH.ย

A lot of exec team know each other from the companies they worked at together(gotta love nepotism) so they all fuck around in the most expensive part of San Francisco to eat $30 avocado toast.ย 

As much I want to learn from them(and I do), I can't relate to the Patagonia wearing, Chai tea latte sipping "bros" who come from old money. We're 100% remote too, so don't think we have anything planned.ย

In 2019 we had an "open bar for 4 drinks"... until the CEO got drunk and left it open all night lol. Then the next day the VP Sales was visciously hungover and let us all go home at 2, but your boy was killing it as an sdr and booked like 4 meetings that afternoon and stayed til 5. Good times

Having ours on Saturday, it is open bar and has supposedly a casino theme.ย  So probably craps tables, black jack and stuff like that and opportunities to win some swag.ย  Few years ago the giveaway items were yeti coolers, a tv, coffee mugs and stuff like that.ย ย 

Should be fun but won't be an absolute rage fest for me because we only have the sitter until roughly 10 and taking care of a toddler with a massive hangover is fucking miserable.ย

Yes, we had one. Local bar hosted private event area.
Wasn't scaled down, we're already a <100 employee org. Mask mandates in effect while eating/drinking, but most of the org is vaxed, so it was lax.
Consisted of a lot of beer and food, and a horrible hangover.

Our exec team did a great job and everyone had a blast. We had a really large space so it was easy not have massive groupings of people while still being able to socialize.

SKO is going to be a different story.

Sales team gonna go hard at a party....as long as we hit the company number lol

We are doing a virtual one. We did have a huge company meet up earlier this year and we partied enough to cover all of 2021. Looking forward to it. Our leadership team and culture are pretty laid back, so I think it will be a lot of fun.

Last year my previous company did a zoom thing where they asked us to dress up and it was at night... I hated it.ย
