Same! I live by myself and this time schedule allows me to do some work, work on my side hustle and also have time for a workout/ connect with friends and get 8 hours of sleep at night.

Yea it's great WFH. I honestly feel way more upbeat and productive when I'm making calls if I'm not killing myself and enjoying other things in between work than if I'm grinding 8 hours a day. Tone is so important on the phone and if you sound burnt out good luck scheduling meetings

Start at 8:30 and end at 4:30. Sometimes I start a little earlier and leave a little later, but I try and stick to that for a good work life balance. I don't usually take a full lunch break.

no such thing as a lunch break in sales i feel but good on you for having that discipline to at least take it!

@Lambda Just curious as this feels a bit excessive and unsustainable long term. I certainly have pulled days like that when needed to get deliverables done or when business gets extra busy but that's not the norm.

Do have that much business/deals that requires that many hours daily or are you being given more responsibilities and nothing else is taken off the plate ect?

i 100% agree on the sustainability piece, part of it is that im new in my roll and just changed roles and companies from outside sales to WFH sales after 10 years with the same company.

I want to make a big impact as "quick" as possible and feel like im playing catchup constantly. Currently working to see if any of my work is outsourceable as my income has doubled because of the move which i posted about earlier but we will see. Thanks for the concern!

@Lambda first of all, congrats. That's f00king huge! Doubling the take home is no small feat. I'd say if you're new and rebuilding the rep/brand at a new place it's probably more normal than not. I might be similarly making a similar move- to a new company for not double but significant increase. One of my pending thoughts is this scenario where I will undoubtably be working more then normal for a period of time. My internal justification will be it's worth the extra money. I am going in to it with the mindset that it shouldn't be longterm.
Good Luck!

Thanks @ARRisLife and best of luck to you! Really fell into a great situation and part of me thinks it was just my head down mentality but there are things i learned in those 10 years never to do again, the most important being that you always gotta look out for yourself

Just depends on the day. Some days I sit looking at my laptop and don't even realize it's time for bed. Others I'm checked out before 5!

I believe sales is a perception game.  If you can get 9 holes in while your boss perceives you are working... then you win.

Blow it up
Currently working from home Mon-Wed and office 9-5 Thurs, Fri. I work more when I'm at home than in the office.

Got a new kid starting on Monday so I'll be in for 2 weeks straight training, then off for 2 weeks for some well-deserved vacation.

Early riser here. Love to get stuff done before everyone else starts. Ensures you look good and are prepared, and makes tagging out earlier much easier to do. I go about 6:30-4 or 4:30

7-5 for me but reality is 7.30-5.  Pre-covid with my air travel it was more like 4am till 6pm most weeks and about 4 times a month 3am till 11pm.  I do and dont miss that weirdly

Gotta add lunch or break to your calendar, otherwise, you'll never take it.  It certainly helped me otherwise, I was always at my desk especially WFH.
