Commish structure

savages... my org is in the process of shiesting the business development org at my company from monthly to quarterly payments. reps are up in arms about it. I was always paid monthly so I feel the pain.

conducting some market research, how has everyone normally been paid when you were a BDR/SDR?

Commision… monthly or quarterly

Hey @theleadburner, welcome to the War Room!
Sadly, this post/question has been beaten to death like a rented mule. Moving forward, I recommend you use the lovely search bar at the top of your screen - there are quite literally dozens of threads about this.

We look to provide original content here, and are constantly battling spam bots.

I clicked on your poll, and am paid out quarterly.

Good luck and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

There's no real way to know what's been said ad nauseam if you ain't been around. So, yeah, check the search bar. If SalesGPT farts out on you, drop the question.

Personally, I clicked monthly, but only because there was no self-deprecating option. Also, was annoyed there was no option for daily or real-time transfers.

Exactly this. Just trying to enlighten where I first failed as a new user.

I can't imagine many people prefer quarterly over monthly. I was interviewing at a place that did quarterly, saying their reps like having bigger commission checks, but that is the only instance I have heard of people preferring quarterly.

I will say, that if it is quarterly, it would force us to budget off our base better

It's the same amount of money if paid out monthly... They may just like sticker shock of the bigger number hitting?

That is what I was thinking, but it was during an interview so I wasn't going to say that to the hiring manager

Sounds like BS from a company that loses/fires reps, and withholds commission owed as it's not time to be paid out.

Didn’t even think about it in that context.

I've been paid monthly and quarterly, honestly, I do not care as long as it doesn't impact the amount I am making, just pay me.

Monthly. Dude, there's never a case where quarterly is preferred by anybody but the company, who can hold onto your money just a little longer.

4 paychecks a year? That is very strange.

We get paid 4x from investments but everything else is bi-weekly.

Ideally, monthly but bigger deals are usually quarterly.
