Deducting Sales Nav. as employment expenses in Canada?

Looking for advice from a more seasoned professional here.

I like & see the value of sales nav but the cost is descent. Anyone know if you can deduct it as an employment expense as a salaried employee in Canada?

the Jefenator... is that like Canadas much nicer version of the terminator? Like he'll actually be back and say sorry?

Thanks Foxy. So I've never had to pay for it myself, and would have to look into the specifics on what can be deducted. I'd say there's a chance.

BUT the main sticking point I see is *as a salaried employee*
If you're not commissioned, you need to have a specific form from the CRA signed by your employee indicated that you have un-reimbursed expenses you pay that are necessary to the performance of your job.

T2200 or T2200S, I think, and then you fill out T777/T777S depending on which you get.

It's related to working from home. Often as a result the lasting impacts of COVID these days. You might have to get creative as it's a piece of software...

Sorry I don't have a clear answer for you, but them's taxes

Could you not just ask that your employer covers for it ? I mean ask your sales manager). I`m not based in Canada, but I`ve always had Sales Nav covered by my employer.

Based in Canada, we have this covered already. Best is to ask your managers if they can buy you one or let you expense it.
