I just learned that I may be tapped for the opportunity to jump from IC to leadership in the next month or two. I can't find shit online about Director of Sales compensation and wanted some ammo to negotiate as best of a package I can.
Company is growing rapidly (40% YoY, about $170M now) with >500 headcount.
Currently, I'm a hybrid enterprise/mid-market/SMB AE, $1.3M quota and $200K OTE (50/50)
The new title would be Sr. Director of Sales reporting to the SVP of Sales, starting with 5-6 direct reports and eventually building to 8-10. These will be ICs with about $1M quotas each.
Does anyone know what compensation is like for a role like this at other companies/what I should be asking for? TBH I'm not even really sure how leadership roles quotas/goals for variable are.
