I don't love it, but I also don't hate it.

Definitely needed a third option.

Not something to do for one's whole life, but it can be fun.

I don't mind making calls. But I hate the pressure to do so and the visibility of metrics.

I'm focused on bringing in revenue and building pipeline. Not doing activities for the sake of doing them.

Do I hate it... no, do I enjoy it... no.

I enjoy not being poor though.

If someone say they like cold calling, they are lying or psychopaths. Maybe both. Bottom line!

I mean I cant say its my favorite part of the day. Cold emailing either. Would much prefer leads to appear in a field like a wild Pokémon, I could just fling a Poke Ball at it, and make commission based on the rarity of the prospect....alas...this is sales and not my Gameboy Color...

I can’t say it is my most favorite thing to do, but cold calls result in more $ in my pocket and I do like that. It all becomes a numbers game and I know I need to just keep my mind on those numbers and follow the dang process.

when im alone or around other sales people I love it, but if my family/non sales friends/non sales boyfriend hear me make a cold call I shrivel up and die because it feels like the most embarrassing thing literally fucking ever

Varis, some days you wake up and hate it, some days you wake up in that mood and you want to kill it. @GeneralCorp has a video about those days of which you do not want to do it. But he does.

I hate it when I'm having those down days off..urghhhh cba no one cares it's a Friday...but then I have the ones of a random day where everyone I call is polite and friendly and it gets you buzzed.

There is something empowering about doing it. If I make cold calls early in my day, I am more productive the rest of the day regardless how the dialing went. The fact that I did something that sucked is the real key. For that reason, I discipline myself to do them.

Some days I breeze through them and some days I dread them. My team emails out the rankings of who called the most everyday, which I am not a fan of

TBH when I book my own demos as an AE I know there going to be good plus you have already built rapport with the prospect.

The important part of cold calling is having a plan of what you want to say.
I feel like the people who hate cold calling are just unprepared and/or have a fear of rejection. I definitely get it, I've worked at a company before that gave no direction and then said, start dialing!!!

I don't love the act of cold calling in a senseless and unstrategic way, I like connecting and having conversations, which is the end goal of cold calling at the end of the day. The more I'm able to do that the better, and I don't see that happening when you dial 100+ times in a day.

I deeply appreciate the skills I've learned from it, but I find soliciting in general to be cumbersome usually
