I agree and follow to the last statement. But I work in a high velocity environment and creating urgency works for me the best - this can be discounts, some additional benefits that they might to pay for in the future, pricing going up next year etc.

Makes sense. There are rumors of some vp-approved discounts/offers coming down some time this week for us

I have realistic expectations.

I REALLY focus on the deals that are down funnel and on the prospecting side try to get a few in before the holidays but then just create a solid follow up list for the new year.

I have a long sales cycle, so I pretty much know what I can and cannot get done by the EOY already. I'm gearing up for 2023 already.

But it's about managing to the time, regardless of cycle or industry. Some years are easier than others, but I've been in the mad scramble between Tgiving and Christmas.

Overall, I try not to be distraught. It doesn't help anything.

Use the holiday season to strengthen and develop your relationships while you build momentum for 2023!

Sr. leaders and decision makers are usually in the office around the holiday season. You can leverage this time of year to get time with decision makers as they prep for next year.

Go into 2023 with a huge pipeline!

Hopeful.

Maybe cautiously optimistic?

Tough time of the year for creating new pipeline, but great time of the year to get things wrapped up that are in the later stages of your sales process. Don't psych yourself into thinking this time of year sucks.
