Don’t count your commissions

Hey savages
It's your boy. I managed to make it through this hellscape of a year. Or at least to Q4. I had hope, existential dread, and more plans fray (for better and worse) than ever before.

I managed in the last week - yea the last week - to turn HALF a year's worth of quota out. There were no special tricks, sales software stacks, or deep contacts that made it happen. It was straight away pure grit (arrogance?) in just doing the "next thing" for minutes upon months. Consistency pays off.

I consistently think of my commission on every sale. I also look at what I'm not making (lost deals, etc.). Sure we all work for the cash, but there be dragons. Know when to hold them and when to fold them, and I say just keep going.

Keep it up friends.

"Let it rip".

Doesn’t matter how you make quota, it matters that you made it. Well done on the awesome week!

Counting your commission can be a dangerous game because you eventually count in non closed deals
