These motherfuckers are lucky that the comp plan is structured in a way where I didn't walk a year ago. You can be a lazy hunter and a damn good farmer and still make $250,000+ by year two.
But holy shit will you have to deal with some of the most annoying ass shit ever.
Examples there's no singular unified process for sales. Everything's vague and hidden under a veil. Everything technically can be made an exception. But the CRO is so busy playing executive assistant to our CEO that that there's no accountability or support in the sales function. There's no mentoring. There's no enablement. It's go out there and try to figure your number Good luck. Mind you both of these alleged c-suite executives I've never been in leadership in any other company in their entire careers.
Now our CTO is trying to overly complicate the sales process by inserting himself into EVERY... SINGLE .. STEP. Mind you this is that any formal policy in place or address by the CRO or CEO. This fucking guy, who has said he not a salesperson, Is demanding that every email that is customer facing or prospect facing gets sent to him for approval first. Every single meeting needs to be able to fit within his schedule as he should be invited to all prospect meetings after discovery. Like seriously what the fuck.... To add Icing onto this cake, This dude literally lit me up and cussed me out on slack today. Fuckin entitled ass old dude is starting to overstep.
The only the good thing we have going for us right now is that our marketing department is decent and we get an okay amount of inbound leads.
