FAANG Recruiters

EDIT Nov 13: they're still interviewing and will get back to me end of this week.

Hey fam, I've had 5 interviews with a FAANG company, recruiter said they would follow up yesterday but did not. Obviously shittin my pants as I've never made it this far before. How long should I wait before following up?

My logic: if I was a no, they would have told me already, so I think I'm maybe the second candidate and they're waiting to determine whether first candidate will accept their offer or not and then reach out to me.

Open to any thoughts/suggestions/concerns/bad jokes.

I'm at the last stage based on the process map that was laid out for me. This recruiter has been amazing and extremely communicative.
I guess I'm letting my feelings get ahead of me

I'm along the same thoughts as GDO, good advice. 👍 it's probably a really tuff decision for them, no one makes you interview 5 times if they are not really interested in you. Plus you made it this far that's an achieve in itself as you stated.

If this was a sales deal and you had a timeline for a decision and they didn't reach out on that day - what would you do?
You'd calmly follow up and mention the missed timeline and ask politely what's happening.
