OK...other than videos that say "just do it", what media gave you something concrete, something constructive that you could apply that changed your career?
I read (doesn't ANYONE read anymore?) all of the standards...Napolean Hills "think and grow rich", lots of Zig Ziglar stuff, and ALL of it applicable today.ย ย I purchased and listened to numerous courses from Nightingale Conant.
However, my turning point was Tom Hopkins "How to master the art of selling" that did it for me.ย It went beyond attitude and gave me constructive steps that I could take, and things I still use today.
For example, one of the most powerful strategies was one of the simplest: handwritten notes.ย Today, more than ever, they blow people away in this dashed off email society that we are used to.ย They still continue to produce amazing results.
So,,,yes, I know that I'm "Old School", but it's extremely doubtful that even in this congregation of high-flying professionals at the top of their game, that anyone here could compete with me in the selling arena.ย Not bragging, just fact.
No, it's not because I was a "born salesman", it's what I became after I devoted myself to being in the best job ever.ย The resources are out there folks.ย There's more than a five minute You Tube vid that can take you to the top of the heap.ย Just sayin'...
