Curious on your thoughts - poke holes in it or ask any questions. Really want to hear your thoughts on the ramping schedule and if I should push back some.

Either way excited about the opportunity!

ok so i am going to assume that you are the type of person that is a good fit for this type of company, and that the company is as legit as you can know at this point.

what does BCR stand for?

this amount of break down for a ramp is cool and all.....but this is a SEED ROUND company. they have no historical data to back up that this sort of thing is even possible do they?

What is the anticipated contract value?

I like the offer over all $150K is solid my friend.
but i would be much more worried about what leadership will do if these numbers are missed. I would assume that is very likely since they are so new.

@TennisandSalesBCR - Base Commission Rate
I vetted all the current customers 90% were friends and family type of deals which makes sense but the CEO just closed a cold deal of prospecting for $50k with a 2 week sales cycle.
Ideally the anticipated CV is $60k. But I come from the industry and my ave deal size was $25k - with a land and expand motion.CEO is very polished and in the trenches. Pretty much said we'd be slanging deals together and that I would get to piggy back off his sales process and structure as I ramp.
I understand expecting revenue by both 3 but 2 seems a little bullish.
Curious if anyones spun the ramp period in a favorable way?
Mind you he built out marketing and CS before hiring sales so I have support as well!

Do you know what the average deal size is? That doesn't seem like an unattainable quota, but that absolutely hinges on deal size.

Well, the commission rate is very high, which explains the comparatively low quota for the OTE.
It's generous, so I can understand the excitement. With a deal size of ~ $25K, it will only take 2 deals/quarter to exceed quota.
Overall, I'd only caution that this may not be sustainable long term - 10-12% is much more common, and a quota of $300K/quarter more likely for that OTE, so be advised about that.

No way in hell this is long term. Looks like it's a silver carrot to get reps. I'm not getting good intention vibes.

Yeah, it's not sustainable in the long run, that's for sure. So of course, I'm concerned.

Appreciate the insight. Ya - they mentioned wanting to give the first rep a chance to blow it out the quota. Definitely not sustainable but enticing to see it out haha.
wish me luck!

Seems like they are willing to hand out quite a bit, your total comp will be more than 50% of the sales you make which sounds somewhat fishy to me. How many customers do they have now? what does the TAM look like? and where does the product stack against competitors or are you operating in green space?

They have over ten right now. Been in a similar situation before so know that pipeline will probably be fluffy and customers won't hold too much weight.
Going to be a lot of outbound but have marketing support.

It's in the devops space so large TAM - want to focus on Mid Market play first.
It's more of a plug in rather than rip and replace. So easier break in.

Yeah I mean you donโ€™t know what you donโ€™t know. So if itโ€™s passing the sniff test from the beginning process thereโ€™s nothing that would say not to take the job.

To me Earning vs Quota ratio looks great and much more than than standards. I would be go with my gut feeling here. All the best !
