Hiring is picking up as a whole too, but I see a LOT of funding around AI wrappers as new products.

My company has been faking being an "AI" company for about the last year now. Makes me hesitant to consider any of them.
We're using an OpenAI enterprise integration, and it is functional, but I refuse to talk about it since it gets eyerolls still.

Same shit different buzzword. Same thing happened a few years ago with Big Data, and happens every six months in Cyber with whatever new acronym gets cooked up.

VCs and private equity are ripe with cash, think about it if they don't find companies to disperse capital to their business model which makes them very rich goes poof so they have to invest. It will be more cautious this time around though, I think...
