Currently working as a SDR and had a hilarious situation happen today. A fellow SDR, let's call him Bob, passed off a call to one of our AEs the other day, and the AE took the call with the prospect today. The prospect promptly refused to have a discussion without the SDR present and threw a fit about being "passed off". Mind you - this has happened a bunch before to us. However, the AE somehow was able to make a save and reschedule the call for tomorrow.
How did the AE convince the prospect to take the meeting in the end, you ask? The AE agreed to add Bob to the meeting, but, as Bob is not experienced enough to pitch, the prospect said that Bob should sit in the meeting with his video on, microphone muted while the AE conducts the pitch. Needless to say, excited to listen to this call tmrrw...
Anyone have any other wacky SDR stories to share?
