has anyone landed a job working with recruiting firm WilliamsTison?

The recruiter has been helpful and seems like a stand up guy but i've asked for details around compensation and he keeps giving me the run around. Thanks!

I have not.
But not being firm on comp can only mean 1 of 2 things.

1. comp sucks and they are trying to "Sell you" on the company before laying the shitty comp plan.

or

2. They dont want to offer something too high because they dont know what you want.

Thats why I ALWAYS suggest people go into an interview with a comp number they want and stick to it from the start.

Thanks for the feedback. This is what I had been thinking as well -- he's aware of my current comp plan and has said things like he's going to make sure I "get a nice bag" and that it will be a "very healthy bump in pay". He's been transparent about the conversations he's been having with leadership at the company (which aligns with what he's been saying), and seems like he's not a bullshitter, but still just so bizarre he can't tell me a number

hahaha yeah thats CLASSIC.

I would figure out what your number is, and then press the recruiter for what they are offering, and do not move forward until they do.

He may have no clue also. The employer may be dicking around and he’s stuck in the middle.

Either he doesn't know OR he knows it's garbage. He can give you a number or you can politely decline to move forward.

Ask him if they have an exclusive contract for the position. If they do he should absolutely know the comp range or OTE range the company wants to pay.

Looking at leaving an AM role at a public company, for a Sales Director role at a start up. Anyone else made this leap?

Do you think recruiting is sales? And would you go from a sales job to a recruiting job?
