High ticket closer?

I've seen a bunch of online junk about "high ticket closers." Does anyone know of opportunities like this that aren't scammy?

I know there has to be some out there because I did land a 200k+ closing contract on UpWork (been doing it about a year). Have not seen any opportunities on there like the one I have know since then though.

I have more time and could do some
more freelance stuff. Tried bravado flex but have gotten nothing...

The only high ticket closer gigs I have ever seen outside of corporate America are schemes to get people to sign up for seminars, mentorship’s, etc. and then get them to sign up others. Something if a pyramid scheme, just for a lot of money. Very showy type stuff where the founders of these companies drive lambos, etc.

The real money is in big ticket software, hardware, prof services, and the like. Selling mundane things like dump trucks and snow removal vehicles is actually very big money.

I understand the draw of those “high ticket closer” ads. Big money, big prizes. But from what I have seen they are mostly scams.

Could I interest you in a Timeshare? No? What about a free trip to the Vegas? Cool, see you on the 15th. (In a dark hotel meeting space for the duration of your trip.)

^Basically exactly what I have seen as well. “high ticket sales” = scam.

Where does one find a gig to sell those mundane things? Mundane, simple, gotta buy it type stuff is what I’m looking for (and what I sell now).

Look around. Mostly those mundane companies are low key and located far away from the shiny downtown high rises. They don’t really advertise much outside your niche, so you have to look hard. When you see an $80k truck outside a grungy building, you’re getting close.

It's true.
Selling equipment can be very lucrative.
Would you like to make 5K on a sale in addition to your base? How about 12k?

At the same time though, these industries are built to make it tough for you to earn money.

Usually if I hear "high ticket" anything I turn and run in the opposite direction

I'd just invest in a skill that's related to sales but not sales. Like LinkedIn bots 😅🤣

I believe you would still find most of em on Upwork too.To me the portal is much trusted&well known and got millions of users and in terms of job opportunities I believe they've been well vetted and pre-scanned from any possible scams!

Definitely still some scams to be careful of. But fairly easy to spot them.
