how did the pandemic affect the sales sector in your country?

Hi everyone, I don't know if it's a topic that ha already been exposed on this platform, but, how did the pandemic affect the sales sector in your country? I ask because not all countries and not all sectors have the capacity to move their workers to a remote area, obviously I exclude departments such as callcenters.

In Colombia, for example, the sales and trade sector in general was one of the most affected by anti-covid measures, as social mobility was limited, causing many medium-sized companies to fail.

In the US it was super simple to move everyone to a remote environment given widely available high-speed internet and investments in telephony systems.

The problem is that many SME's in LATAM literally subsist on daily sales.

Also, the sale of organic products such as fruits, in Colombia I've not see that there is so far any reliable platform or app for the sale of such products that are basically for immediate consumption.聽

S铆, eso he visto. 聽

I sell into the retail industry - lots of our customers and prospects import their products from abroad.

Corona alongside Brexit absolutely screwed us, customers couldn't get orders, people weren't buying, they went bust and left, we all went on furlough...but then Summer came along and everyone started buying online and we have prospered so much.聽

Was really shit but silver linings and all.

mostly some sectors tanked and spending became more cautious.
Also some clients needed more approvals to spend money above (new, lower) amounts
