I leave mine in the other room all the time. I’ve got the cellular connected Apple Watch, so I even leave it at home on the weekends. Can someone make me a dumb phone?

I go in DND mode. Don’t even know it’s there. I miss all kinds of garbage notifications and the occasional call that matters. I call those back.

Apple has a new "focus" mode that will let you pre-filter the notifications. I've got mine set so that the wife, co-workers, and select customers can get through, but nothing else really. Made a huge difference for me.

I dont keep of it because i have a lot of idle time on my hands
Just act as if you were working off normal office. Helps me to keep disciplined.
I do hour increments. 50 minutes of straight work, 10 minutes of break time. Now it's a reward for working and half the time I don't even go on my phone anymore, I'll walk around the house for a bit and sit on the deck for a few minutes.
