Its important to know which role you would actually prefer longterm. So connecting with internal CSM/AMs to know which I would actually want to do, if I know I would prefer an AE role, I can remind myself that.

Jeez i thought i was the only one 😅 seriously, you don’t, i don’t think it’s unhealthy to play with the idea from time to time, also good to keep your options open. At the end of the that, it’s that mix of compensation, culture, free time etc. that counts, no matter the “title”

In my current org, CSM makes about 20-30k less than AE (at OTE). But when money is not the only consideration, think of your long-term needs.
