How Do You Help Someone Sending You A Terrible Sales Pitch?

I just got maybe the worst sales pitch on Linkedin ever - it was a recruiter but they got my name wrong and advertised a job I literally don't even do.

I messaged back thinking it's an automated email but it was a real ass human who just sent me absolute junk. Told him he didn't get my name right or give me a job I could even work and he apologized for ruining my night.

What do you fellow savages do in these situations?! I wanted to help but it was just so bad I didn't even know what else to say.

Why isn't the death penalty an option here?

Technically you could start a death cult and then that option is a two for one. But yeah next time I'll throw that on.ย

Shut your face! Really?!

Wow.

Ok after I would have had that dramatic reaction to myself I would have responded very politely and ended it with feel free to connect.ย

But wow ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

I was so confused how you get my name wrong on Linkedin! It's literally right there. You don't have to search for it. And he sent it with a name not even remotely close.ย

I probably should offer some advice but just pointed out that nothing in the message made sense for who I am and then he apologized.ย

Oh well. I truly hope he gets better because there's no way he's hitting numbers with this nonsense.ย

Even so, wouldn't you double check to see the name was correct before you hit send?

I always give feedback regardless... Especially when it's younger people just starting off their careers in sales/recruitment.ย

Sometimes they appreciate it, sometimes they just don't respond anymore.ย

That should change with experience. You're doing a good thing ๐ŸฆŠ

Would it be worth it to only respond using gifs? Hopefully they would eventually get the point

Should have thought of this.
