How much do Salesforce reps actually make?

I see a lot of conflicting info online, just wondering if it's worth tapping my connections to apply

RepVue.

I'm sure it REALLY varies depending on vertical/role, territory, and where they live.

From my brief back and forth with a Salesforce recruiter, around 170-180 USD for MM. Sweatshop as well with tiny territories

I've heard quite a few horror stories about territory shit over there.

I've also heard terrible things about the territories! Super small, you hardly get an addressable business

Another reason there is no straight answer is because they have been fucking with their quotas to the point that people make money year 1, but no more after year 3. Unless they are close bros with the VP, they just get promoted up instead of better territory.

Repvue, compgauge, Glassdoor. I feel like people talk about how prestigious Salesforce is, but these comps sound low? 130 ote SMB and 180 ote mid-market?

Totally depends on what market you're in. There's the lower end "starting" roles on up to strategic accounts, with everything in between.

Where they slot you will depend on your experience and where they have a role to fill.

RepVue should give you a great idea. Also Google or LinkedIn.

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Buddy of mine at Mulesoft told me they nuked their comp plans a year ago so no one could make the big money anymore. Don't know if this is 100%, but he was genuinely pissed about it.

Always the case after acquisition. The general thought is that leads are easier because salesforce is already installed so you get to 'walk in the door and sell mulesoft'

Make sure you're joining the high-performance teams and ask around for existing reps to get the info, it's VERY different amongst departments.

I'm a mid-market AE for Salesforce for a couple of more weeks (actually handing in my resignation tomorrow).

The SPIFFs and Accelerators are great and if you have a good quarter you make tons. Territories are small however so you really don't have many shots to make and timing will be a big factor.

With that said:
Low-performers on my team make 120-150k
Mid-performers on my team make ~200k
Top-performers make 1m+
