I believe my sales manager is hiding and hoarding leads from us and sending them to herself and one other senior Director:
We made a HUGE splash at one of the biggest trade shows in the world compiling hundred and hundreds of qualified leads.
Then our Sales Manager goes on to say there are no leads.
Conversation as followed:
Rep on the weekly Revenue Call:
Rep: “ Have there been any inbound leads since the show - and if so how are those being dessiminated amongst the team?”
Manager: “ We have no inbound leads. Will update team if something changes.
Rep then calls Marketing Manager to confirm:
Rep: “Hey our Sales Manager just said there are no leads”
Marketing Manager: “ I’ve sent her 557 MQL qualified leads over a month ago…hmmm it looks like they’ve mostly been assigned to &&$&@$ and not the reps in there respected territories that’s odd…let me look into that”
Marketing Manager then call Sales Manager to investigate:
Marketing Manager : “ Hi just checking in to see how those leads I sent over were working out - would love some feedback.
Sales Manager: “Going great! Divided them evenly amongst the team and seeing good traction…”
Sales Manger scratches his head.
Later to find out sales manager has been sitting on these leads assigned them all to them and one other person and have been working them themselves.
the other 2 reps are 2 months in and hungry to start selling and working the leads they worked so hard to help generate for the team at the show.
I feel betrayed. What should I do?
