inbound drying out big time?

Hey guys, I hear lots of about inbound drying out also (SaaS recession). Do you get a lot of pressure to self-source or even teams being split that would only do outbound?

I spoke to some chaps that some top performers from inbound where moved to outbound to start from scratch and had to give away all of their inbound pipeline and start from scratch in outbound with low or none expertise in prospecting.. mad!

Been around for a while, and inbound is never enough. It's always best if you can find a way to self-source, even when times are good. For one thing, it keeps you sharp, and for another thing, more business is never a bad thing. Bonus: then you're never caught not knowing how to prospect.
Territory shifts and changes like that are brutal and always difficult, but not handling them well within an org can lead to extreme attrition when reps jump ship.

Inbound has been lower than usual in the past months, but back to normal now in the emea, at least.

Very few companies can have their reps hit quota solely from inbound. Not just the demand from clients, but having leadership not get greedy to want more

Yeah i've always been outbound. I RARELY see an inbound lead.

Do you leverage any software like 6sense to catch intent?

ZoomInfo but I don't rely on it. Old fashioned cold calling is how I roll. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

This is my company. In 2020, we transitioned the SDRs who were good to other roles, laid off the rest and allocated that budget to marketing. Quota attainment average 95% and they responded to that by raised quota 40%. Now less than half are hitting it

AEs at my company do zero outbound prospecting. Everything is either a free trial signup we convert to paying customer, or an SDR sourced lead.

The inbound leads are about the same as they've been since I got here in January. About 7-10 per day, about 40-60% disconnected numbers or obvious scammers/bots. About 1-2 are legit businesses at a stage where they're ready for our solution.

There's 25 SDRs for a total of 40 AEs (spread across 4 teams between US and Canada).

Only saw inbound in one company I worked for. Like is it selling with inbound or order taking?

every deal I create now is off of cold outbound to prospects, we also had to let go of all of our bdrs in a RIF that happened in June so it's put up or shut up time

Over the last 4 months inbound has drastically slowed down. Even leads from paid ads and other avenues has slowed down. We were getting 4 a month before. Now we get 1 a month if lucky.

What is inbound? You mean people actually call you or raise their hands wanting to buy? WTF have I been doing my whole career?
