Hello!!!!

This post is partly to clear my mind, yes yes, it's not a very important post, I know.

Today in the afternoon I had to go to a talk to evaluate if it was appropriate or necessary for our sales team and ironically I found myself in a rather "strange" talk in my opinion...

At one point (I don't even remember how the speaker come to that) He began to say that sales is a men's business and built for men. I disagree! As a woman, I truly say that I have met brilliant men and women! So I ask.

so i guess this person might not be wrong....like when "Sales" as a career was created it was probably almost ONLY men. so it would have been created with men in mind.

now, thats not the way ANYMORE, nor do I think for a second men are better at sales. i think its actually the opposite many times.

but idk if this person was incorrect. though the chances that they were being sexist on purpose is kinda high haha

It may be that it is "somewhat true" but when you have women in the public you are not a good salesperson if you basically demigrate them, now if we go back to history, well yes, possibly at the beginning there were more men

You would be surprised at what I hear when a representative gets upset. A friend who was promoted told me that her colleague from the office complained to her boss that they gave her the position and once she swears that she heard that he told the boss "how can you put a woman in that position, once a month it would be unbearable"... now he possibly said it thinking that no one was listening to him (that's still not good) but in my case, impressive that he did it in front of approximately 40 people of which half were women

No no, my boss is an idiot, but he doesn't discriminate haha... from time to time the company hires people or companies to give talks on some sales topic, sometimes they are courses, other times they are speeches, etc. Normally, as their boss, they send me to evaluate if the information or the speech is useful or if we want it for our sales representatives, many times they are accepted and those that are not because either they already took a similar talk or they simply focus on a branch of the market that does not interest us... but yes, the first time I have refused to hire someone because I felt discriminated against
