If it's too good to be true, it's because it is.

They consider that this applies to business, I don't know if because of my upbringing or work experience but for me, it is a big YES! If it looks very good I am very suspicious and I don't think it is true or I always have the thought of "Something bad must have" and I feel that this did not help me to close some "good deals". Do you believe this statement? Am I the only one who has these kinds of thoughts when a very good deal arrives?

P.D: I put the option of dolphin noises because I see that everybody put it and I don't understand why haha

If it's too good to be true, it's because it's not.

Looking for a euphemism to express how bad my head hurts trying to wrap my brain around thisโ€ฆ. If itโ€™s too good to be true because itโ€™s not, that actually means that it is true.
The saying goes: If itโ€™s too good to be true, itโ€™s because it is. And is typically true, but Iโ€™d be lying if I said I donโ€™t chase that damn ๐Ÿฆ„ all over creation before watching it turn to smoke when I catch the flipping thing.

I think what you meant to say is: "If it's too good to be true, it's because it is." It is too good to be true. The way you phrased it is the opposite of that.

Sales Manager
Early in my selling career I had many its too good to be true situations, would spend tons of time and a lot of hype trying to work them and close them and almost always lost them. Then I got savvy and the too good to be trues almost always got qualified out.

A few examples would be when I was selling to very large well known brands like Chanel, Gucci, LV, Levi's etc. at a c-suite level they would engage with you, youd think its almost too good to be true and it almost always fell through as they would suck your ideas and run. So i stopped selling to the big guys and went down the middle and closed more business than I ever could have with those big brands.

It sounds like a good strategy, although I believe that it would happen to me regardless of the size of the market, I already think that feeling is part of me, but I am glad that this change worked so well for you!

If itโ€™s too good to be true, it probably is.

I approach everything with skepticism and double check my work. Suspicious nature, I suppose.

Blow it up
99% of the time yes, it is too good to be true and something is off, but if you always assume it is a trick or not real then you will miss the 1% that is an actual freebie or gift from the heavens.

I always have outward confidence in opportunities even if deep down I know it is going nowhere. Sometimes the team needs to see someone believing in it to get the deal over the finish line.

So you move on for the chance to grab the miracle and to inspire your team. It is a way of seeing it especially because your team learns from your mistakes.

Yes we all need to learn and be better, but often the team (non-sales) can get stuck in a rut and every deal starts to look the same to them. We have to be high energy and bring the motivation to make sure everyone succeeds.

Like a dog chasing a car. Wouldnโ€™t know what to do once it actually caught the car.

itโ€™s too good to be true.
contact every person who does the job currently and get some one on one time with them to see if it is.

but likely, it is. People lie casually to meet their metrics.

It is also true, but many times in meetings I go well, but my head begins to relive it over and over again until I get errors or moments in which I do not ask something, I think that as a woman I tend to overthink things.
