IYO, What are The Best Health & Life Insurance Agencies to Work For (as a Remote Sales Agent)?

I'm trying to choose a good company to work with as a remote sales agent offering health and life insurance. I passed my Health & Life Insurance exam for Florida last week and want to ensure I chose a good company.

SVG hired me a few weeks ago and they are willing to get me licensed in all 50 states + train me which is pretty awesome but they are not willing to invest the money to get me licensed in all 50 states until I'm caught up on my back taxes because they say some states require that. I will not have time to rush filings within a few weeks so I'm trying to make the most out of the hurdle.

I figure I can get my license here in Florida myself and earn more with another insurance company anyway but just not sure which ones will pay the best and hopefully offer passive income as my clients renew each year.

A company that provides warm leads that I don't have to pay for is ideal but open to hearing all good options. I've always been a top producer for every sales company I've ever worked in so I figure I will do quite well in this industry if I can find a good company to represent.

An hourly base is nice but not necessary. I've been working strictly commission for over 20 years and I know those positions often pay the best if you're a pro like I am.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. I'll probably be focusing on B2C for this role since I've been studying and getting trained on Medicare Supplements and Medicare Advantage plans for the past 2 weeks. I'm open to pivoting though for the right opportunity. Ideally, I'd like to start my own insurance practice as an independent broker. I would need to find the right partners though. I get too overwhelmed when I try to run a business on my own. I've done it for 13 years and have often not had enough help so I've decided to put some of my business on the backburner while I find a good company to work with and then I can focus on what I love best which is sales.

It's great that you recognize where you need a little bit of help and plan accordingly.

Sounds like you'll do really well

I have zero knowledge when it comes to the industry. I know that it is a saturated market here in Florida, but everyone still needs the insurance. Best of luck

damn. more power to you. I was in insurance and investments for 5 years as a captive agent.

I would try to get interviews at all the big guys in your area and just ask those questions to them and compare who has the best offer.
