Job hunting as outbound job

Has anybody treated their job hunting like an outbound project? Set up multiple email adresses and sequences to address 1000s of companies a week and see where to land an interview.

Anybody tried it and cares to share the results?

Right idea, but tactics suck. You really think setting up multiple email addresses and spamming 1000's of companies will help you stand out?

That was not my point. Maybe there was too much hyperbole in the post so it got misunderstood. One email adress is enough. I´ve closed million dollar deals with my method so I am not a rookie.

Well since that's exactly what you typed... how are we supposed to know what you meant if it isn't what you said?

Of course. My post has a lot of hyperbole so it got misunderstood. Who would need multiple email addresses to outbound for jobs.

Yes, this is how you should treat every sales job (search). It makes sense to prove your work and process isn’t specific system/product based.

There are websites that enable this. Pick you 5000 top employers and apply with 1 click. Terrible idea.

Are you sure? what websites enable this? I´ve never heard of this before.

Put ‘AI job applications’ into the Bing. Your bell will ring. Try it in the Google. You’ll hear a bugle.

I mean, are there 1000 jobs out there that you would actually consider even?

Don´t take my post literally. The idea was to outbound for job applications. The target can be 10 or 5 million prospects..

Idea is right. However your execution is wrong.

I didn´t mention much about how I´d execute. But tell what´s wrong. And if it´s the number of target companies or addresses then don´t take that literally in my post - my idea was more on does outbounding towards leads to job hunt works and has someone tried it before.

Ok fair enough. The idea is good. However I would focus less on volume and more on quality.

Jesus that's a bad idea, narrow down where you want to land and appropriately research the role, company and most likely hiring committee.

Yes ! And that's precisely how you will crack through the job interviews. When they ask (if they ask) how you prepared for the interview, you can very well talk about your outbounding skills and how that actually damn worked!

I wouldn´t tell them because they probably wouldn´t even understand.

Sure but your method sounds like spamming.

I’d also apply directly to their listing because it shows you’ll follow a process but take initiative to reach out and introduce yourself.

I have done this at a much smaller scale. You are on the right path but treat it more like account based sales. Don't just blast a shitload of emails that aren't targeted. Treat it like an outbound process but treat each company like you are actually trying to sell them the product. Which is you.
