Looking back at your high school days, does it make sense that you're in sales now?

When I look back it makes perfect sense. For all the best reasons.

Very little of my life makes sense when looking through the lens of my high school days.

It makes sense that the hot chicks are now old, ugly, drunk skanks.

I'd say so. I was in sales in high school, did a lot of volume
...And I worked retail

Also worked retail. Totally turned me off to sales. As did the annual elementary school chocolate bar hustle (though I totally grasped the benefits and ROI) as well as the GS Cookie hustle.

Nice, in middle school I did those chocolate bar sales for charity. Most people would give the box to their mom's work or something and they'd automatically sell.

I'd go door to door and went through a few boxes every year. For no money, guess I just liked it.

I actually loved retail. I worked in a high-end sporting goods and clothing store though, with a bunch of really cool people of a similar age. And all but one of the managers were pretty chill.
I probably spent more there than I made though, as it was only PT.

I worked at a clothing store. I do know how to fold shirts really nicely โ€ฆ but the number of creepers who would come in to see if one of us would model some of the clothing for them as we were โ€œabout the size of the daughter/niece/girlfriendโ€ was off putting. It was alright, but definitely not inspirational.

I find folding calming lol and I'm quite good at it.
But that would suck. Not going to lie, I did always like it as a 15/16/17 year old when the girls would come in to try on new bikinis. Only time I didn't mind the changing room position...
Started right before March break. I was always surprised at how many would just traipse out of the stall with those tiny little Roxy/Billabong string ones on

I was very entrepreneurial growing up. It was like I was always like if we got this and sold it forward, we'd make x% profit... So yeah it makes a lot of sense.

I was super introverted in high school, so the idea of getting paid to speak to people initially would have been absurd to me, but here we are..
Fwiw I feel like sales has definitely exposed me to the reality of things more than anything I could have imagined in a work setting.

Iโ€™ve been selling for 5+ years. Have been in selling SAAS for the last year or so. Looking for a individual sales coach to help with the transition. I see a lot of sales academy that I can buy but Iโ€™m looking for 1:1 sales coaching. Anyone have any recommendations?
