Looking for a SDR/BDR role, with a substantial sales background

Hi everyone, new to this space. I completed the course careers technology sales course in May, been job searching ever since.

I have had a few interviews, but either the pay was very subpar or it hasn’t felt like the right fit. My job search also hasn’t been as aggressive as I would prefer because I am still working. But, I don’t know, I feel at a loss.

I participate in coaching calls and sales zooms thru the week. I completed another month-long training SDR session with Kayla Burke, a woman who’s killing it in her current role in Enterprise Sales at Microsoft. I reach out to the hiring managers / recruiters. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Maybe cut my losses and try something else? thanks.

Prospect into roles that are hiring, many roles have the recruiter listed. Be ready to speak to what you learned in your course as well as your organization skills with your past roles.

Unfortunately, a job search is a full-time role, maybe you just need to apply to more roles in order to get the amount of interviews. My advice is to apply to 20 roles a day

When you interview, what questions are stumping you?

yes, thanks i guess i just need to apply more, even though i was told to not mass apply by many at CC. I was asked once what would i do with 3 wishes. I think i'm also having trouble vocalizing my metrics because my previous sales roles didn't really keep numbers like that.

How did they track performance, you could use things like rank or any way you were measured quantitative or qualitative
What were the objections of applying to roles at CC? At some point applying is a numbers game

I'm highly confident that what you are being taught is not working. DM me and I can coach you for free. I've helped 10+ people land SDR roles at some dope companies. I do this on the side to give back.

Just keep trying! Summer is quiet so you not the best time to look. Now is. Are you ringing the recruiters and hiring managers? Connecting with them?

Office Support Assistant Manager
Yes, when I have the info. I’ve also tried several times to connect with people actually in the role, but I don’t feel like people are open to that. 🤔

the coaching might make you a better interviewer but won’t get you through the door. Reach out to HR, Sales Managers, SDRs via phone email and LinkedIn. ask the SDRs for a referral and ask HR and Sales Managers for an interview
