I thought this story was so creative and heartwarming (because she got the job)!

Interviews can be awkward because you're forced to brag about your accomplishments and talk about yourself.
ย
But this is a great way to flip that perception on its head and show that you understand the value prop and are excited about potentially working for the company you just interviewed for. Here's the email the interviewee sent about 30 minutes after her interview:
ย
Wanted to send a quick note to connect the two of you!
ย
[Friend] - Joseph is a founder at [Company]. [Company value prop from website]. I recently learned of their solution and I think you'd find it hugely useful!
ย
Joseph - [Friend] played and still plays, a huge role in [area of work we help with]. He has a deep understanding of the challenges around scaling that org and I know you'll enjoy chatting with him.
ย
I'll leave it to you two to connect from here. I think it could be valuable on both ends for you to connect!
ย
This is what I naturally do when I'm meeting people in "real life" so why not do it in your job interviews? I'm wondering if there's a way I can do this for my prospects now...
