The best advice I could give you is to find a way to create a relationship with the top performer of the team you joined and learn a lot from that person.

This is what I was telling the hiring team, I want to know who’s kicking ass.

Nice! Also if you have the mails or calls registered you can see the process. Good luck Theo!

I'm on the older side myself at this point. famas has good advice about learning from the top rep.

Will you be remote, or will you be in an office?

Remote mostly. Sounds like there’s an office but seems most are WFH

I made more than a few good work contacts simply by reaching out on Teams (you may have Slack). Ask a few questions of colleagues and don’t let yourself become isolated. A sense of humor and warm personality will eliminate an age gap and help you get the support you need from the rest of the team so you can learn from them and be comfortable in the new role.

Hopefully your manager is supportive and is encouraging the team to help you out by asking them to have you shadow calls.

I got into SaaS older than most of my teammates. Fuck your ego, keep asking questions and never stop learning. When you ask for feedback tell your boss or whoever you’re asking to be brutally honest.

congrats! thats super exciting!

One thing that REALLY helped me when i worked for my first saas company was trying to learn and understand how Saas really worked.

understanding what all these terms means and why they matter to YOUR company:
ARR
MRR
AVC
TCV
CAC
LVT
Churn
ect.

There is a podcast called The 20Minute VC and the host who is super smart interviews a bunch of Saas founders. its really great, helped me learn the industry and also helped me understand why the company i was at was going to fail ultimately.

Mirror the top performers and try to really listen to your manager / leader.
For the initial days, this should be it. You will eventually create your own way of performing by exploring different ways, by making your own set of mistakes as well.
