Most YOLO moment of your sales career

most of us have had bad days in sales, it's part of the game.

have you ever let it get to you real bad and dun goofed?

once upon a time I got into a screaming match with a non serious smb prospect on the EOQ

id already hit quota, and was on the phones to rally my team and might have even had an office keg beer snuck in by my manager for the trouble

this conditions were set poorly. started getting severely verbally abused (at a very loud volume) by the prospect so in a fit of rage I started screaming back and pattern interrupted her so hard we closed that deal the next month

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
"I am going to Las Vegas and will be on PTO. While I'm there, your discount expires. I will not be responding to email or phone calls as my work phone will be off. When I get back, we'll either have a deal or all of these discounts go away."

They signed the last day of my vacation.

I've never shouted at a prospect but will match their tone if they get uppity/abusive with me sometimes (I swear for certain prospects they need a little abuse to get them over the line). In terms of YOLO moments I will sometimes literally tell a prospect to "shit or get off the pot" and sometimes I'll get a laugh and signature lol.

Yeah shouting is generally not a good way to close. For me it was calculated since I had a cell phone (no call monitoring or recording), most of the leadership had left for the day, I was already at quota And the most important thing for me then was to vent my pent up aggression and burnt outness from killing my self working that month Sorry prospect but not sorry

I had a prospect who tried to negotiate with me one too many times, he calls me and says “I think you’re trying to get rich off me!” We’d been over it a million times and I certainly wasn’t going to get rich off the deal, I was tired of it so I said “you know what you’re right. My kids are sick of ground beef, it’s time for some steak in the (my last name) house” he laughed and signed.
