My goodness zoominfo function I wasn’t aware of!

been rippin zoominfo with the team for the better part of two months now and sure it's great for people email info whether it's good info or old, but dang! Anyone ever checked out the intent tool? tells you who at what companies searched for what type of product!
Working this now to see what I can do with it and will report back but question to the WR?
Has anyone ever used this tool before or tools like it out there? free or paid would be great to hear about!
Has it helped and how does it help? I would welcome your input so the team and I can learn!

yeah its great, I use it often. I'll take information I get from intent and go to Sales Nav to try to find folks that might be relevant to those searches and hit them with some coincidental outreach

It even shows the date and time they last searched!

Agree with this 100%. I take the intent from the company then find the contacts on my own in sales nav. The ZI contacts typically don’t make any sense.

I've tried Apollo intent and it didn't yield much.

I think companies are refining this functionality more and more. I love the idea of it.

Intent data is useless and often wildly inaccurate.

Totally agree. I once sold a tool showing web traffic search terms and intent along with what company it could be. Intent does not yield much and doesn’t tell you who or details needed. In WFH times is highly inaccurate as well.
There was a LI post recently from a sales pro talking about intent being garbage.

Good to know and thank you! 1. How come useless? 2. What’s inaccurate about it in your experience?
3. Wonder where they get their data from cookies or something?

It’s cookie based, yes, and it could be anyone searching for anything that hits an SEO term related to the intent category you’re interested in. Also, I once called someone up asking about their CRM needs and it turns out they were interviewing at our company and was prepping on their work machine. Not a good lead.

lol wow that’s pretty funny actually. Appreciate the info! I have a team member testing a small group of people to see what he finds out and I will report back!

It doesn't give the names of the folks that searched. It gives suggestions.

Really? Dang. In all cases? Or do large companies block it kind of thing?

Thank you! From a broad view it looks great but some people think it isn’t accurate so it’s good to see both sides!

It’s decent but it’s not as robust as something like 6sense where it gives actual views into a prospects journeys/ clicks etc. I think it’s a fine starting point though. Not a silver bullet in my opinion based on my own experiences.

Exactly what I was looking for! Appreciate the insight. I will take a look a 6sense too. I have budget to acquire some tools so luv finding new ones

I've had some success with the "more likely to answer" indicator however with data accumulators the saying "garbage in, garbage out" can absolutely apply. Others have already said it and I agree: cross reference with LinkedIn

Intent data is often bad data, large to mid orgs have firewalls and proxy blockers that confuse the intent data points…

We use it a ton. I typically go ZI to find info, confirm my POC via linkedin, and then call/email followup.

I don't know how much we pay. I think we have 9-10 reps with a license but I could be wrong.
