Navigating the Thin Line Between Persistence and Pushiness in Sales

Last week, we had a second meeting with a promising prospect, and things seemed to be heading in the right direction. We received a resounding "yes" during the call, and without wasting any time, we promptly sent over the contract. However, it's been radio silence since then, and we find ourselves waiting anxiously for a response. I know this scenario is as old as time, but id like to hear yalls insights and advice on how to approach a follow-up call without coming across as pushy. Striking the delicate balance between being persistent and respectful can be challenging.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Hyper empathy for me and use the title of your post in an email. Something like:

Hey Bubba,

There is a fine line between professional persistence and perpetual annoyance. I don't want to cross it... especially not with you. I realize you've got a process, but I'm just not doing my job if I don't ask. Do you need anything else from me in order to move things forward?

Yeah I have a similar message for earlier in deal process:
"I don't want to bother you, but I won't lose a client due to lack of effort. Could you provide a status update?"

All you've got in this world is your name. It helps to shoot straight. People remember.

DocuSign reminders until they sign, every hour on the hour. If they complain, blame DocuSign trigger.

The only thing is the link to the docu-sign of the old email goes away. I did that once and met with them in person, it was hard for them to find the most recent email because outlook sucks and they are disorganized

Frame the concern, we seemed to be moving in the right direction, did I read the situation wrong?

Have you touched base since then? If not, you definitely are not on the pushy side of the line, I am already following up on a contract sent yesterday. If you have, I LOVE @oldcloser 's email

-Follow-up immediately, because time is of the essence and leads get cold fast.
-Do not put โ€œfollow-upโ€ in the subject line.
-Be brief. Ask if theyโ€™ve looked it over rather than accuse or point out that you havenโ€™t received it yet. Add value by giving them context for the urgency needed for the next steps.
-Finish with a call to action. @oldcloser โ€˜s response is great but Iโ€™d rather not shoot a do-or-die type of email, because what do you say when they donโ€™t respond to that?
