I am starting a new job in a few days wherein my KPIs would be mapped to the trials I can bring in.

Does anyone have experience with such a situation?

Could you help with messaging that has worked for you in the past?

ahhh the good ole Product Led Growth approach. 

the approach should be the same really as any other SDR. 

except the CTA isnt a demo or a disco call with an AE. its to actually use the product. 

Hopefully the sign up process is easy. 

Ive done this and the sign up process was super hard and really drove down the number of ppl that actually signed up.

Was thinking the same thing as Tennis - sign up process should VERY overt. 

Messaging - use the search bar at the top for BDR/SDR help, there might be something there to help. Ask senior reps at your company what's working for them.

Basics
- what do you solve for customers? - see if you can talk to current customers and ask them WHY they signed up with you all. What was the differentiator? Talk to CS. 
- Put that stuff ^^ in your messaging. Use the language your customers use.
- be simple, concise. "Our product helps you accomplish X (pain). I might be completely off base here, but is that something you experience today?
- ask for interest or in your case "Would a free trial help you discern if we're a good fit?"

I just made these up on the spot so take them with a grain of salt. There's SO much content online about cadences for inbound and outbound.
