alright y'all so I was hired at the end of Nov 2021 (basically Dec) for an sdr manager role. came to a team of 6 and 1 person hitting quota only by putting 12 + hours a day in.
Dec technically was "onboarding" and Jan being my first month of implementing processes to the team, territories, sequences refreshes, and worked on training and onboarding for the new potential sdr I was interviewing to hire.
now it's beginning of February and my whole team is eliminated because the board didn't think the 9 month run of the outbound team did enough to prove it works. (9 is lose only because 1 sdr had been there 9 months, rest were 6 or less months)
they don't want to fire me so offer to make me a full cycle AE. (they think having AEs source all outbound will fix lead gen issues)
now here is the kicker - it's March 1 and I have yet to receive any formal written statements about my new role change or even my comp structure.
oh and I'm not even "out of training" and yet was given a quota for the month. even tho I'm not allowed to run discos until I'm out of "training" 🙃🙃🙃
is it outrageous to ask for this to be formally written out and given to me? I thought it would just be done naturally but maybe I'm missing something??
also: anyone hiring sdr managers? 😅🥲
