Notetaking

I consider myself a very organized person especially when it comes to keeping track of notes but it's hard to maintain that organization across departments (esp with the SE) when there's no internal process for note taking or keeping track of requirements. Any suggestions? I'm open to all formats/apps/templates etc

perfect answer right here. Sales without a decent CRM is just silly.

Why do you need an internal process for taking notes? Create your own. A CRM won’t help you really because it won’t address YOUR needs, just your mngts. So create your own.

There's a company called recapped that gives you a template for mutual action plans. This allows for collaboration across multiple departments and ensures all the major questions are answered.

I do not know if you use zoom for calls, but there is a zoom app called Fathom that does live transcription. Afterwords you get a link and can plug that link in your CRM and revisit the whole call.

Keep everything in Salesforce if you can.
If you can’t, google doc can work well.

Use Salesforce or whatever entry system y'all have.

CRM. We are not SFDC sophisticated CRM company. We are just a local CRM company, so even I used to despise updating notes on CRM. I did that in my own "pages" tab in MAc. But it served nobody any purpose.

Then I shifted to Notion, it served just me.

Now I update CRM - more for myself, share link with the SE / Presales / SDR and ask them to update their side of notes too. Every and any account has recent updates now, for myself!

If CRM doesn't work, you can try (additionally, over CRM) Notion. That helped me.
