Opening a new market

Hello savages,

I'm looking for some input on those who have been the first sales hire for a new market at a small MarTech company. I'm starting with a small company in Sydney (Australia) in June and will be relocating to London in August as the first boots on the ground.

I'd love to hear the experiences from those who have done this - the highs, the lows, what did you do that made it a success, what potential obstacles can there be, how do you deal with the pressure and expectation?

Exciting opportunity congrats on the new role! Have not worked in MarTech, but if it's a small company be prepared to experiment early and often, and don't be afraid to try different things!

Had a ton of experience doing this. Be prepared to lack resources but overcome that with superior processes and follow up. You have a unique opportunity to develop this and it could take you to leadership or anywhere you want to go. Be stoked and get nerdy about metrics and process and the product. Your going to kick ass!
