Personalizing Tip

Yesterday I watched the Reggie.ai fireside chat and let me tell you. The speaker, Matt Millen, suggested that one way to gain insight into potential clients is to take a look at where they volunteer on their LinkedIn profiles.

At first, I was like, "Hmm, is that even helpful?" Since I thought only people in college with no experience fill out that section and very little key contacts I would want to meet with fill out that section.

But, I fired up Sales Navigator and did a search for all of my accounts, filtered to include CXO, VP, and Director roles, and threw in the keyword "volunteer" and "volunteering" just for good measure. I had a list of prospects and their volunteer work right there

There were tons key contacts that were volunteering as a Coach for Little League. Where I can easily input that into Reggie.AI or since I am out of credits I use my big brain, to write out some new email templates for DMs.

I am seeing a great response rate, comparing to my normal "Would you be opposed to an assessment" emails

As someone who hasnโ€™t filled out that section I would have thought the same thing. This is solid. Will deploy. Actionable insights- right here in the WR. Thanks KK

Surprised no one thought of this before. If you volunteer you clearly care about they subject so integrating this into a cold email is a great strategy. Well done!

Unfortunately I ran out of credits before being able to try it. They do a couple examples in the recording using "Ice Breaker"

Only leverage the volunteering bit if it's recent. I volunteered at a lot of things pre-COVID but I don't think that makes sense as a trigger today.
