Just the TIP

I, like most of you, follow lots of Sales GURUS on LinkedIn and such...i save lots of good posts. i read lots of books. i study, i learn, i gather feedback...

How do you store all of that info to make it digestible, easy to implement, and keep organized?

I have a running word doc and it makes my head hurt.

Do you keep a running document of sorts for good sales tips/tricks?

I use the save post on LinkedIn liberally. I also have a OneNote with lots of clips, templates, etc.

Honestly? Notes don't do anything for me and I've always been confused by people who compulsively save things. Either you know it or you don't know it but know you need to know it better so you google it or you don't know you don't know it so you don't google it.

In a sense. Notes and files are only useful if you're the sort of person to use them. Otherwise you're wasting time

Yes - it can be easy to forget great things I've read and I like to go back and reference every now and then.ย

I save what really hits home with me. Also in a group chat with some coworkers where we'll all share stuff from time to time so the saved posts in that stores a lot. I have a notebook I'll write stuff down in if I'm feeling extra nerdy. Sometimes it gets bookmarked in Chrome. all just depends on the day and how helpful I really feel like it is. I also have an app called Instapaper which is great for saving things like this to. You just click the share button in your browser (or in whatever app you're using) and it'll store it in the app. Then you can group things by categories, it has global search so you can search keywords and it'll show you anything you've saved it thinks may be a good fit. Pretty awesome free app.ย
