Pre Conference out reach - mentioning conference to increase open rates?

ok so i have a huge conference coming up and i am getting ready to do pre show outreach. (which is honestly my least favorite thing).

Do you mention in the email subject line, the conference name?

I feel like I have done this in the past, to make it clear there is relevancy, but also know they will most likely get a TON of outreach and pre show reminders.

Should i just make a compelling subject line WITHOUT the name?

or included it?

Help team!

PS: I have a specific reason for out reach, and for meeting so dont worry about that part.

Should I include the conference name in the Subject Line?

“watcha doin’ at <conference name>?” did pretty well on open rates for me.

It’s casual and kinda interrupts the pattern of “Connect @ <conference?” That your prospects get

I did outreach for a conference recently, my subject line was "Would love to meet at [event name]!", got 17 replies and 12 meetings. My "sequence" was just an email and a bump email.

@WarRoomRealIdentity, very simple and short email.

Hi [first name],

Saw that you will be attending [Name Event] next week, and would love to meet if you have time.

[One-liner about my company]

Would you be interested in meeting there?

Best,
Nairobi

If the are a speaker at the event, I changed the "attending" to "Saw that you’ll be speaking"

Can’t catch fish without lines in the water.

But, I’d also try to think of something that jumps out regarding subject line and best 1-2 sentence ask in email.

A subject line that maps to what you want to discuss in your email should work. Offer something - “attending x conference? Let’s meet for coffee/lunch”

Including it ain't that bad idea, however I would prefer to mention the conference purpose only like Conference to discuss....
Believe that would help in getting higheropen rates.
Feel free to tell us how it worked after and whether you mentioned it or not:)

Honestly, a call or text might work here, if you already have a connection.

You should have a conference prep email to push meetings while there. It has worked swimmingly for me and my team.

what do you mean by a conference prep email? how did you use that to set meetings while there?

So start with “are you going to this conference?” Or “we should meet at this conference!” As an opener. If there are people that are going, they might want to set up meetings there (better than cold outreach). Then, you can plan around certain people seeing you there.

not really a question of IF im going to reach out, more of a question of the best subject line in an email to use...

On the fence for the poll vote.

What if you could kill two birds?

Two word subject line speaking to a specific topic.

That leaves 17-18 words left to be shown in the preview.

Mention the conference in your first sentence.

Yes, I always try to reach out before a conference and always put it in the subject line

My best open rate has been "Meet with COMPANY at CONFERENCE | LOCATION - DATES"

Typically I'll call, LVM basically stating that we'll be there, you'll be there, let's find time to chat. Then mention that I'll email details shortly.

Pretty solid conversion rate.

I think it's important to give quick, simple info in the email and maybe in the VM:
- We're at booth X
- We have a meeting room, here are time slots
- We're sponsoring X, can I sign you up?
- Here's my direct number - call / text to schedule

Just make it easy - Think like a travel agent or event manager and convert interest into an itinerary.

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Include it.

I often will have the subject line as “name of show + ?” And just ask them if they are attending. And that’s it. I get a good return email rate.

My SDR team has noticed that their open/reply rates have dropped massively in the last 2 months. Any advice on how to boost the email conversion rate?
