Question for the Gen Zers and anyone else that wants to weigh in

I just saw some silly clip from a millennial that got bitched out by a gen z for using a periods at the end of their messages, saying it was rude.


so if I write "please update your CRM" it's alright but "please update your CRM." it's considered rude?

I forget what show it was, but there was a whole episode about a guy who used exclamation points a lot, but the key broke. So he started using periods, and everyone freaked out because they thought he was mad at everyone. Hilarious.

I wonder how much of this is just that we're exposed to them more because of social media? I did a lot of stupid stuff when I was a teen and early 20s but the only people who knew about it were the ones doing the stupid stuff along side me. Adults didn't see it and also we had to come up with the ideas on our own! Couldn't follow trends or "challenges" I kinda miss pre social media days...
