Recession bets?

what's the most recession proof SaaS vertical? 

I'd imagine selling physical goods/shipping could still be good but curious about your thoughts under the saas umbrella. 

if you're wondering, yes, I did just read the Bloomberg article that projected a 100% chance of a recession over new 12 mo.

cyber security would be the closest to safe.

It's also easy to say there's a 100% chance of a recession when we are literally already in one lol.

I work in the industry. It’s not exactly recession proof I have a connection that collects data on vendors. Growth is slowing and many are declining.

Cloud or Cyber Security comes to mind. And we already had a recession, the WH just didn't want to call it one. There will be another one for sure in 2023. Look for verticals that are recession proof to sell into as well. Gov and Healthcare, etc.

During a recession, people and companies cut back on discretionary spending. Some things, however, are considered essential and don't get cut: utilities, healthcare, and consumer staples. Any SaaS solution that are integral to these industries should hold up best during a recession.
