Recruiters and HR looking busy and wasting your time.

How many meetings should it take to hire a sales dev/ biz dev rep? 

I get that it looks good for a company to have hiring for x and y on their website and linkedin. 

I also get that recruiters/HR folks linkedin engagement is tracked as activity metrics.

I had 9 conversations and a presentation in the past with one company. It wasn't even a closing role. After that they decided that it was not a match. Seriously fucked up my day back then

If you can't get it done in two interviews you will lose candidates in the process

Plus the company needs to look at their process and fix it, 3 rounds for bd rep is too many

Recruitment agency side here - not familiar with agencies using social metrics as a KPI. Companies having roles open can look good, but it can also look bad if it’s open for a long time.

Typically having more rounds of interviews is because of decision anxiety - HM wants you to meet the whole team so that they share the responsibility if things go sideways. Nobody loves doing interviews, including HMs.
