ROAD TRIP

Howdy y'all, I'm moving across the country in a few weeks (22 hour drive ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ”ซ) and need some content suggestions. Hit me with it. no discrimination here. Podcasts, playlists, audiobooks, movies, YouTube channels, Udemy courses, limewire links (tbt for my fellow pirates๐Ÿ˜‰)

much love!

Thats like 2 books, get Libby and connect with a local library for free books and audiobooks.

This changed my commute. Sometimes I'll even sit in the driveway to finish a chapter.

What a great range of suggestions! I have nothing to add that hasn't been covered (I'd definitely be loading up on the audiobooks via library and updating my playlist) but want to say safe travels!

I love movies so listen to lots of podcasts about movies. My favorites are: the Flophouse (about bad movies) and Blank Check (explore directors entire filmography).

Also a huge fan of Judge John Hodgeman.

Think Like a Monk is a great book - have it on my bedside table.

Podcast has a good mix of guests, super relevant and his voice is very calming.

Freakonomics podcast episodes are usually entertaining. Driving with other people? Get a karaoke playlist. Safe trip!

Stuff you should know is one of my favorite podcasts! Also the Confronting series- confronting columbine was a really interesting evaluation of columbine from a survivor. Confronting OJ was great too!

Find a podcast series that interests you, pick a topic, and then start from the beginning. I really liked listening to Voxโ€™s Land of the Giants. Went over Amazon and Netflix to name 2 of the 4. A good 15ish hours of content and listened to it when I used to drive from SD to SF

I am wrong, they are up to 6 seasons. Been a while since I did that drive in 2019.

If your into sport, find a podcast who covers your favourite team and go at it. I follow Leeds United and there is a great podcast which has me laughing the whole time and an hour becomes 10 minutes.

I do quite a few long distance drives (7-8 hour drives) and I find mixing spoken media and music works well to break monotony

If you want to feel like you're just hanging out with buddies and you're a big fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I would definitely recommend their podcast.

Or on just interesting topics: 99% invisible

Drive safe friend!

If youโ€™re a little geeky, critical role has some great podcasts to check out. Most are generally their dnd campaigns, but the banter is top tier nerd comedy.
